Who we are

Best Glasgow Lawyers is operated by Pixel Juice Digital Marketing, based in Glasgow. Editorial decisions are made independently of any commercial relationship, as set out in our editorial policy. For the purposes of UK data protection law, the operator is the controller of personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about privacy using the details on our contact page.

Information we collect

When you browse the site we do not use analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors. Our hosting provider processes technical information such as IP addresses in server logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

When you contact us the forms on this site open a pre-filled email in your own email app, so nothing you type is stored on this website. We receive whatever you choose to send, such as your name, email address, telephone number, firm details and your message.

Information about law firms and solicitors published in our listings comes from public sources, such as firms' own websites and independent legal directories, or from information firms send us. This includes the names and professional roles of solicitors where these are published on their firm's website.

  • To respond to enquiries and correction requests, and to manage listings: our legitimate interests in running an accurate directory.
  • To publish professional information about law firms and solicitors: our legitimate interests, and the public interest in information that helps people choose legal representation. We only publish professional information that is already public or supplied by the firm.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent misuse: our legitimate interests.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We do not pass your enquiry to law firms unless you ask us to. We use service providers (such as our hosting provider) who process information on our behalf under appropriate contracts.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for up to 24 months, then delete them, unless they relate to an ongoing correction or dispute. Listing research records are kept while a listing is live and for a reasonable period afterwards so that we can show how information was verified.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to your personal information, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict our use of it, and to data portability where applicable. Solicitors named in our listings can ask us to correct or remove their details. To make a request, please contact us.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date of the latest update is shown on this page.
